A high-speed mixer and neutralization tank were designed and developed independently by XDLPC. A pilot plant of 20L/h continuous bromination of butyl rubber was designed and built up. It is unique for such scale in domestic. The first trial production has been conducted successfully. The key unit operation conditions of the industrial bromobutyl rubber were tested by this pilot plant. Some technical problems of industrial production were tackled. Simulation tests and exploratory experiments of colloidal particle dehydration and dissolution, materials evaluation, bromination reaction and neutralization process were carried.
